The Greenpeace ocean sanctuaries scientific study maps out how to protect 30% of the world’s oceans by 2030, a target that scientists say is crucial in order to safeguard wildlife and to help mitigate the impacts of climate change. Greenpeace approached Tekja with the aim of bringing their findings to life in a digital interactive map.
Working closely with research and communication teams, Tekja drew up a strategy for communicating the report’s key messaging succintly for the target audience, producing a series of rapid prototypes for Greenpeace teams worldwide to test and consider against their digital infrastructure and messaging aims. The final output functionalities including map interaction, page layout and integration strategy was agreed and developed in six different languages for deployment worldwide.
The project gained international press coverage and a wide reach on social media.
The interactive is live here.
