Oxford Movement Analysis

Tekja were commissioned to provide this commuter analysis for the Science Vale development in Harwell, South Oxfordshire and the regeneration of neighbouring Didcot station. These maps reveal patterns of commuter movement and infrastructure hotspots in the area and were used to analyse where the creation of new transport links and nodes would be most beneficial for the economic and social success of the region.

The Science Vale development is now a significant area of economic growth, home to one of the biggest specialist scientific and technology communities of its kind in Europe. Tekja’s data visualisation study informed urban design decisions made for the area and wider region, ensuring planning decisions were fully informed by data driven analysis of where development would most positively benefit existing and new resident populations.
