Where are all the world’s refugees and displaced people moving to?
Tekja worked closely with the data and policy teams at the ONE campaign to develop MOVEMENT, a unique data visualisation tool and video animation combining diverse and disparate datasets to reveal the stories of global need.
The tool consists of an intuitive dashboard interface, where users are able to update an interactive map to reveal global patterns of need, numbers of displaced people and aid flows.
Clicking on a country reveals a ‘country profile’ sidebar, an in-depth examination of needs specific to that country. This data-driven country profile enables the dashboard to tell a unique story by combining many sources of data into a universal narrative. Users are able to compare statistics and reveal the story of that countries funding requirements and population.
